Co-édité avec Toluca Editions à l'occasion de l'exposition photographies 1968-1992 au bal,cet ouvrage présente le travail photographique des premières années de l'artiste brésilien miguel rio branco, de ses débuts en noir et blanc à new york en 1970, à son travail couleur réalisé au brésil notamment à salvador de bahia, jusqu’aux images du mexique dans les années 80. Le livre déploie un ensemble de 97 images en couleur et noir et blanc sur 120 pages et s'accompagne d'un texte inédit, le couteau par terre, de jean-pierre criqui, conservateur au service des collections contemporaines du musée national d’art moderne de paris.
