Publié pour la première fois en 1954, Das Auge der Liebe (L'oeil de l'amour) du photographe Suisse René Groebli, est un petit livre présentant les images faites pendant la lune de miel avec sa femme Rita à Paris.

"J'ai essayé de transmettre l'atmosphère typique des chambres d'hôtels françaises. Il y avait tellement de choses: l'apparence pauvre du mobilier dans un hôtel bon marché, le mot 'Amour' brodé sur les rideaux. Et j'étais amoureux de cette fille, cette fille qui était ma femme. Je pense que cette série de photographies devrait être comparée à un roman ou à un poème plutôt qu'à une peinture: disons-le!" René Groebli
