"Un événement long de 56 jours comme une bande passante de l’existence : il n’y a pas d’icône du confinement durant la crise sanitaire, pas de visage emblématique, de fait marquant, soit une drôle de guerre où la répétition des jours ressemble à une errance.

Le concert de regards des MYOP joue une partition dissonante, un dodécaphonisme visuel de points de vue, de scènes variées que relie pourtant une atmosphère, c’est un kaléidoscope, une prose optique – en littérature, on dirait : une parataxe.

Tout se résume à cela en termes d’espace : le dedans et le dehors, les nouveaux rituels permettant de quitter pour une durée déterminée son logis, une rythmique animale du foyer et de la quête de nourriture, le spectacle d’une réduction des formes de sociabilité.

Elle est peut-être l’icône manquante : le marcheur ou la marcheuse masqué(e), la figure altière mesurant l’espace de son pas, pressée, occupée, en deuil du flâneur moderne, arpenteur du périmètre autorisé, horloger du temps autorisé – la rue devenue quartier de haute sécurité.

Le monde se réorganise sur une injonction familière au photographe: la bonne distance; l’optique permet de la mesurer autant que le déplacement de l’appareil ; là, il n’y a pas de bonne ou de mauvaise distance, il y a la distance juste et non juste la distance.

Cadavre exquis: en repliant la première image, laisser dépasser un détail qui sera l’amorce de la prochaine image, jeu surréaliste conjugué ici à l’art du cut-up – Sine die est une forme poétique mutante.

France populaire: ceux qui n’ont pas de toit, les métiers invisibles, les indifférents aux règles, ceux qui vivent entre quatre murs, les visiteurs de l’espace public sont souvent ceux d’une France déclassée, le confinement comme retour du refoulé."
