John berger a écrit que, à partir du moment où l’image photographique est produite de manière instantanée grâce à la lumière, la figuration ne se trouve imprégnée ni d’expérience ni de conscience; le photographe, il est vrai, choisit le sujet, mais le rapport entre l’image et sa représentation est immédiate, elle n’est pas construite, contrairement à celle établie par le peintre, dont l’œuvre contient le temps que l’on passe à la faire.” Salvador Albiñana

Outre leur intérêt partagé pour la peinture et la photographie, Plossu et Fuentes sont tous deux des artistes voyageurs qui préfèrent travailler avec des formats plus petits. En réunissant leurs œuvres, l’exposition permet d’explorer des questions telles que la relation entre l’action et l’œuvre dans les deux médiums, ainsi que la perception du temps différenciée entre la peinture et la photographie.
