Des gilets jaunes au grand confinement, en passant par l’incendie de Notre-Dame ou le mouvement Black Lives Matter, Olivier Marchesi photographie la rue et ces événements, en quête de leur signification d’ensemble ; préface de Fabien Ribery, photos en n.b.

Un photographe était là, en témoin, dans la rue, avec les fantômes et les vivants, et nul doute que nous sommes bien dans le joyeux free-jazz de la ville Lumière, capitale mondiale, telle est du moins sa plus belle tradition, de la sensualité voluptueuse et de la raison émancipatrice…
Le visage de la France d’aujourd’hui est plus que jamais multiculturel, pardessus à l’ancienne et café à emporter, vélo électrique et tags rageurs, barricades et gaz lacrymogènes. Notre-Dame flambe, c’est un phénix, une voiture de police brûle, qui ne l’est pas.
