Le travail d’Eloïse Labarbe-Lafon est un éventail de souvenirs, de contes, de rêves capturés sur film argentique noir et blanc et colorisés à la main. La peinture appliquée au pinceau, aussi bien qu’au doigt, laisse apparaître des imperfections, des bavures, des empreintes digitales.

Album, premier livre d’Eloïse Labarbe-Lafon, est construit comme un véritable album photo. Les images s’y mélangent, se répondent, et forment une mémoire recomposée, entre fiction, souvenirs et rêverie. Ce montage sensible nous entraîne dans un univers à la fois nostalgique et mélancolique.

Le travail de l’artiste repose sur des photographies prises sur film argentique noir et blanc, puis colorisées à la main. La peinture, appliquée au pinceau ou au doigt, laisse volontairement apparaître des imperfections, des bavures, des empreintes digitales, autant de marques physiques qui viennent troubler et enrichir la surface de l’image.

Le livre rassemble plus de 80 photographies réalisées au fil des années, en France, en Grèce, au Japon et au Mexique, tissant ainsi un récit visuel intime et intemporel.
