Je t'aime - Je t'aime est une véritable déclaration d’amour à ce et à ceux, connus ou inconnus, qui ont traversé et habité la vie de Léo Berne au cours de ces dernières années – sa famille, ses amis, ses amours, les visages d’anonymes qui ont croisé son chemin, les lieux qu’il a visités, les scènes insolites de son quotidien, des bribes de ses voyages, et enfin la lumière se dévoilent au fil des pages et du jour qui décline ou qui se lève. Le livre a la particularité de ne pas avoir de début ni de fin et de pouvoir se regarder dans un sens comme dans l’autre.
Le choix du titre est un clin d’œil au titre éponyme (Je t'aime, Je t'aime) du film d’Alain Resnais, dans lequel un homme coincé dans une machine à voyager dans le temps erre dans ses souvenirs.
Je t'aime - Je t'aime est publié à 800 exemplaires, et a été pensé et conçu avec amour à la suite de l’exposition en deux volets “From Dawn to Dusk / From Dusk to Dawn” qui s’est tenue de décembre 2019 à février 2020 à la galerie Écho 119, à Paris.
