Les Rochers Fauves du photographe Clément Chapillon interrogent la notion d'isolement géographique et mental à travers un espace insulaire en mer Égée.
Il constitue un récit en images à la fois documentaire et métaphorique sur les sentiments contradictoires que provoque l'insularité de ce territoire rocheux, aride et sauvage, situé au coeur de l'archipel grec des Cyclades.
Dans le livre, un principe de papier calque propose des lectures différentes d'un même texte pour retranscrire une certaine poésie insulaire telle que l'ont vécue l'auteur et archéologue Gaston Deschamps à la fin du XIXè siècle et le photographe Clément Chapillon aujourd'hui. Son récit documentaire de l'île d'Amorgos oscille entre la légende et le réel, la poésie du mythe et du vernaculaire.
