Ces images sont l’illustration de l’état émotionnel intense dans lequel j’ai été plongé après son départ. Les photographies n’ont pas été réalisées à cette occasion, elles ont été piochées dans mes archives personnelles. Comme si j’avais fouillé/puisé dans un sac de mots afin de retranscrire le mal être dans lequel je suis tombé. J’ai choisi des images qui sont liées par ce souvenir marquant de ma vie et qui vient ressurgir aujourd’hui. En vous racontant cette histoire je ne vous raconte pas la mienne, ni celle de ma mère, mais celle de toutes celles et ceux qui ont été confrontés à un décès. Les carrés cousus, est une collection consacrée à des essais photographiques dont le format se situe entre le portfolio et le livre. Œuvres de fictions, documentaires, ou quelque part entre les deux, ces carnets ont pour vocation d’ouvrir des champs d’expérimentation dans la pratique de la photographie analogique.
