NETTE est un livre intime, un voyage dans le passé. En 2019, Artemis PYRPILIS se rend pour la première fois dans la maison d'enfance de sa grand-mère, à Toulon, 7 ans après son décès. Le temps s'est arrêté. Parmi les photos éparses dans les tiroirs, les objets disséminés dans les placards, la photographe découvre la jeune fille qu'elle était dans les années 40 et le surnom de Nette qui lui avait été donné. Nette était gaie, fumait des cigarettes, faisait de la gymnastique et riait avec ses amies.
L'ouvrage est une sorte d'herbier où sont épinglés les rêves de jeunesse, les moments joyeux, l'insouciance et la liberté. Artemis PYRPILIS pose un nouveau regard sur les objets, réinterprète les photos d'archives, se rapproche des matières et révèle des textures. NETTE est un livre élégant, discret et silencieux mais qui en dit long.
