Le Retour est un livre-objet, premier projet photographique de Roxane Cassehgari, né suite à sa redécouverte de l'Iran après 20 ans d'absence.

À la frontière entre le journal intime et le carnet photographique, le livre traite de la connexion à un foyer lointain et témoigne d'un sentiment partagé par les diasporas à travers le monde, ce moment de retour, quand on cherche à se reconnecter à un héritage.

Roxane Cassehgari est artiste-photographe, née en France d’un père iranien et d’une mère colombienne. Parallèlement à sa pratique artistique, elle est avocate en droits humains et chercheuse. Là où le droit et la recherche lui permettent de formuler des questions sur le monde, la photographie devient pour elle un espace de liberté, un terrain plus intuitif, où explorer ce que les mots ne peuvent saisir.
