Regarder à travers mon travail à Syracuse est une marche dans le passé.
J'avais 34 ans en 1981 lorsque Jeffrey Hoone, le directeur de Light Work, m'a invité à Syracuse pour une résidence d'artiste d'un mois. La résidence Light Work permet à un photographe de filmer, développer et imprimer des films et, comme je n'ai jamais été très bon en développement ou en impression, je me suis concentré exclusivement sur la photographie.
Ce fut un moment passionnant et important de ma carrière car on m'a offert la chance de travailler sans interruption dans un endroit qui était nouveau pour moi.
