Stanley Greene a frayé avec les Black Panthers, photographie la mode et les punks US... Le 9/11/1989, il est à Berlin pour la chute du Mur. Il ne cesse alors de mettre son regard au service de la réalité la plus crue : la guerre en Tchétchénie, Katrina... Il est sans conteste l'un des plus grands photoreporters de l'après Guerre froide, récompensé par cinq prix World Press Photo.
