Desillusion Days - My Life on Films revient aux origines de mon parcours, à mes errances visuelles, celles d’un jeune adulte au regard encore en formation — brut, instable, sans prétention. Ces images sont le fondement de qui je suis, une collection de moments volés qui n’étaient pas destinés à être vus, encore moins imprimés. C’est un autoportrait sans fard, le témoignage d’un chemin tracé à travers les erreurs, les blessures et la vérité brute. Une ode à l’imperfection, à la beauté qui se cache dans chaque recoin de notre existence.
Capturées entre 2009 et 2014, ces images ont vu le jour avec la découverte d’un appareil photo Yashica « viser-déclencher » dans un marché aux puces (jusqu’alors, je m’étais consacré uniquement à l’écriture) et marquent la fin de Desillusion dans sa forme originale.
Ce livre, intitulé My Life on Film - Desillusion Days, se compose de 256 pages de moments capturés à la volée, une ode à la fois au néant et à tout.
